I recently worked with a talented senior track athlete. She asked for a "sporty and tough" look with a particular focus on her fabulous legs and stylish sunglasses - two things that really make her stand out!

As a photographer, I absolutely love capturing the uniqueness of my clients. I aim to showcase their strengths and bring out their personality and passions through my photography. During this session, the client's sunglasses and strong legs were must-haves in creating unique images for her.

That is what I encourage all my #senior clients and families to do. To bring to their session what makes them "THEM". Not sure what I mean? What are your interests? Hobbies? What do you participate in school? Do you have any trophies or medals you want to show off? What is your fashion style? Do you want to show off your car or bring the fur baby that you have had since you were a child? The possibilities are endless.

You don't just have to show off your cap and gown and letterman jacket... Those are a great addition and I want you to bring those items as well. But the goal is to show who YOU are underneath all that.

In addition to all the above, I also like to take classic poses during my photo sessions with seniors. I call these the "Mom" shots since they are the ones that mothers typically prefer to display in their homes. And since it's usually the mother who sets up the photo session, it's important to make sure she's happy with the results.
