My Top 5 Gift Ideas for Mother's Day




Mother’s Day is around the corner. Which means, I will be struggling once again to find my mom a gift she will actually like. I always struggle with this holiday more than others as I usually reserve special gifts for her birthday (another national holiday if you ask her) or Christmas.

Really, she will tell me what she wants for a gift, but when asked what she would like, her response is “No mija, I don’t want anything.” So, I end up getting her flowers or taking her out to eat, which she enjoys, but this year I wanted to try and get her something special for Mother’s Day.


I have been looking around on the Google as well as some #Midlandtx and #Odessatx vendors and made a list. I thought I would share my top 5 gift ideas with you all in case you have the same struggles as me, and at the same time, showcase awesome products from some crafters that I have personally purchased from.

Numero Uno: Custom Tumblers


My mom does love her coffee so this would be perfect for her! Not only are these great for coffee, but hey are also great for any drink. Water, juice, wine (maybe… but seriously wine). If you can drink it, you can put it in a tumbler. And to make it a little extra, get your mom a custom tumbler!



Custom Firefighter Tumbler in ON FIRE!!!!


I have purchased several tumblers from Kayla White, and she does amazing work! She can really do anything to these tumblers. Favorite color, glitter, names, photos, designs, even lights! She did a custom firefighter design for my husband’s birthday and she did our bride and groom gift tumblers for our wedding as well. They were a big hit. Numero Dos: Custom T-shirt


I apparently have a theme going on here. But I mean who doesn’t appreciate a customized gift? Survey says no one. And I know just the person to go for your shirt customizing needs. Debbie at The Max Boutique can do anything to a shirt. They do bleached shirts and bleached tank tops with all kinds or designs and phrases on them, and they do hoodies as well. They have many colors and styles to choose from. I’m sure you’ll find something that fists you mom’s style. And if you can’t find something that screams “This is my mom!”, they can make a custom item just for her. I ordered several shirts from them with my photography logo, and I absolutely love them! Check out their Etsy shop and get mom something cute and comfy that she can add to her wardrobe.


Numero Tres: Charm Bracelets


Jewelry was bound to be on this list, amiright? This is a good gift idea for 3 reasons.

1. Moms love jewelry. 2. Charm bracelets are also customizable. 3. You can always get her more charms if you get another case of gift idea block. It’s a thing. Look it up.

I really like Pandora bracelets and their charms. I think their bracelets are unique and their charms are detailed and look like little works of art. Pandora also has a ton of adorable charms to choose from. You can also find third party charms on Esty that will fit Pandora bracelets if you can’t find what you are looking for. What is most popular here is James Avery. Most of my friends have these and they are super cute and customizable as well with lots of charms to choose from. If you mom is into jewelry (which, who are we kidding, she totally is), and if she doesn’t already have one, look into starting a charm bracelet for her.





Numero Quatro: Mommies Day Out


Moms never get a day off. Ever. Even when we turn into adults. My mom is always checking in on me and giving me advice, even when I don’t ask for it. She’s always on high alert. So maybe the gift your mom needs is a day to herself to rest and let her worries go. No errands. No responsibilities. No family to care for. Just some much needed time for herself. My idea is to get her a gift card to her favorite restaurant for her and a friend of her choosing, as well as a gift card to her favorite clothing store and let her have a relaxing day with her bestie.

Maybe your mom really likes Starbucks Chai Tea Lattes and prefers a pedicure. Whatever she enjoys the most that she doesn’t get to enjoy often, get her a gift card or cards for whatever that is and kick her out of the house! You can also clean up the house and maybe do a load of laundry while you’re at it. Mom’s love that! Trust me. Mine does.





Numero Cinco (yet also numero uno in importance): Photo Session


Ok, so maybe your mom is not the type that likes time away from the family. Maybe what she would love is more time with her family. And maybe it’s been an awfully long time since the last family photos. The perfect gift for that mom is a, you guessed it, photo session! Family sessions are a great gift for mom if she has always wanted a unique family photo or needs to update her photos. It’s a really great way to spend time with the family and have fun in a way that will show the special dynamics of the family.


Mommy and me session are another great option as they are geared towards the relationship with mom and the kids, which makes them special. There is not a mom that I know that doesn’t cherish the special moments when she is alone with her children and sharing a bond that is unique to them.
